Materials Machined by Carbide Products
Aluminum
Aluminum is a lightweight non-ferrous metal that is easily machinable and formable. While pure aluminum is soft and lacks strength, alloys containing small amounts of copper, magnesium, silicon, manganese and other elements can produce very desirable mechanical properties. Some grades are heat-treatable to further enhance these properties. CPI works with all grades of aluminum and maintains strong relationships with top mills, distributors and service centers.
