Carbide Products, Inc. has recently added three brand new machine tools and two optical comparators to an already impressive lineup of advanced manufacturing technology.  This is further evidence of a commitment to continuous improvement to their discriminating customers worldwide.

New Machines Include:

Studer Favorite Ø10” x 26.5” CNC Universal Cylindrical Grinder  This machine is equipped with Internal Grinding Capability and a Glass Scale Direct Measuring System.  This machine is designed for quick setup and super precision cylindrical grinding.

Mitsui High Tech Model Quick-Set 6” x 18” 3-Axis High Column CNC Surface Grinder  This machine is equipped with a 5 µm coolant filtrations system, full enclosure, conversational and G-code programming, Electric Rotary Wheel Forming Devise and Variable Speed Spindle.  The addition of this MHT CNC brings the total to three CNC profile grinders and expands capacity to deliver Pencil Cutter Tooling to our growing list of international customers.

Okamoto PRG-6DXNC CNC Rotary Surface Grinder with Ø24” electromagnetic chuck with constant surface speed capability, Fanuc 21iT control, ±5° table inclination, a 10 HP variable speed spindle and .00001” resolution; further expanding our surface grinding capacity, capability and efficiency. 

New Comparators:

OGP Model CC-20 20” CNC Contour Projector with Quadra-Chek 300 Geometric Readout, LED Light Source and Surface Illumination, Auto Edge Detection, Fresnel Lens Screen, Electronic Video Image Capture System, ECAD Electronic Overlay System, ECAD PC System, Metronics Auto Data Collection System  This comparator enhances the inspection and documentation process keeping the quality system on the cutting edge.

Jones & Lamson Model FC-14 14” Optical Comparator with Surface Illumination and .0001” Resolution Digital Readout System   This is a legacy machine that was completely remanufactured by Certified Comparator Products in 2011 with updated lighting and control systems.
